Thurvey

And the Thurvey thays . . .
It is Thursday again (almost missed it) and time to hear from you. I encourage you to post your thoughts on the following question. Is torture acceptable for any reason? Why or why not? Does it matter whether torture is effective for discovering intelligence information? If you were responsible for writing the rules for torture, list two or three.

  1. In the words of Shepard Smith, "We are America! We don't f--king torture." I couldn't resist.

Torture is not acceptable. It is barbaric and just sucks. It is immoral. I would elaborate on these but I'm tired.

    Rules for torture
    1. No Hugh Grant movies: The world has suffered enough charming english drivel in movies with trite or no plot. Severe emotional distress results from these movies. Watching these movies makes people hurt themselves which defeats the purpose of torturing.
    2. Making the interrogated watch clips of sean hannity, bill O'riley, and Lou Dobbs talk about the border fence is allowed, but only in 10 minute doses with the volume at a reasonable level.
    3. No fat chicks.

  4. We torture each other in ways small and large every single day. See #3 of previous post for a fine example.
